Carlisle - "The squares of peace and nature" is the title of the draft submitted to the Region of Puglia from Carlisle and five other common Dauni Mountains. The group of six countries identified as "Villages of nature" also belong Biccari, Castelluccio dei Sauri, Castelluccio Valmaggiore, Roseto and Volturara Appula. These land-use planning to strengthen, upgrade and streamline the functional networks that connect the homogeneous systems represented by neighboring countries to place, history, development needs and territorial potentials. The actions proposed in the plan is as actions to enhance and promote the territories through their particular geographical, environmental, social, cultural, historical and economic. Plans are therefore a program of actions shared by groups of municipalities that were identified in a particular path of development.
The municipalities, in fact, already in the process of Wide Area were chosen as the focal point of their development a certain "Thematic" or a path of development based on elements that are considered strategic. And so, the common Biccari, Carlisle, Castelluccio dei Sauri, Castelluccio Valmaggiore, Roseto and Volturara Appula, chose to identify themselves as "places of nature," identifying in appearance and landscaping of the environment and their rural point force to be tapped.
The entire work of coordination and drafting of documents has been promoted and implemented by the LAG Meridaunia, development agency Dauni dei Monti, which will serve as a common office in accordance with the municipal administrations of Dauni Mountains.
